Universal Temperature 12" x 36" Acrylic This represents the range of temperatures possible in the universe on a logarithmic scale as you go from the bottom to the top. The bottom of the image represents Absolute Zero, or zero Kelvin. The top of the image is Absolute Hot, or 10^32 Kelvin, which is so hot that fundamental particles break down. The dark blue strip represents the temperature range that human beings are capable of surviving. The light blue strip is the range of temperatures we actually live in. On a linear scale, the range of survivable temperature is infinitesimally small. |
